Junior Jig & Fixture Engineer

We are hiring a Junior Jig & Fixture Engineer with strong interest and hands-on exposure in fixture design, product development, and manufacturing support activities. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of jig and fixture systems along with experience in CAD software and engineering documentation. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and gauges for manufacturing operations Support new product development activities by providing fixture solutions for machining, welding, and assembly processes Modify and improve existing jig and fixture designs to enhance productivity, safety, and quality Prepare 2D and 3D models, design drawings, and BOMs under senior engineer guidance Participate in jig and fixture trials, fitment checks, and validation activities Coordinate with production and quality teams for fixture approvals and testing Provide support for fixture-related issues in production and maintenance departments Monitor fixture performance and suggest improvements to reduce downtime Maintain design records, revisions, approvals, and engineering documentation Coordinate with vendors for fixture manufacturing, quotations, and follow-up activities Participate in R&D initiatives and support continuous improvement projects Follow safety practices, 5S standards, and engineering procedures in the tool room area Required Qualifications: 1–3 years of experience in jig and fixture design or manufacturing support Basic understanding of jig & fixture development and engineering processes Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or UG NX Knowledge of machining, welding, and assembly operations Good understanding of 2D and 3D engineering drawings Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Good communication and documentation abilities Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering Preferred Skills: Exposure to automotive or manufacturing industry projects Understanding of production tooling and fixture validation processes Willingness to learn new engineering tools and technologies
