Engineering Lead

We are hiring an experienced Engineering Lead to drive end-to-end technical delivery across government projects and SaaS product platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in backend and frontend architecture, DevOps infrastructure, technical leadership, and scalable software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead complete technical delivery across government and SaaS product workstreams
Design scalable system architecture using Python FastAPI and React.js
Define API contracts and review production-grade code implementations
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines, Docker deployments, and cloud infrastructure
Handle AWS/Azure deployment environments and monitoring systems
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineering team members
Convert business requirements into sprint plans and technical specifications
Manage DevOps activities including deployment automation and infrastructure management
Handle third-party vendor integrations and REST API implementations
Lead technical hiring, engineering interviews, and onboarding activities
Maintain engineering documentation including API docs, ERDs, deployment runbooks, and architecture records

Required Qualifications:

6–9 years of hands-on software engineering experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Tech Lead or Engineering Lead role
Strong expertise in React.js including hooks, state management, and performance optimization
Strong backend development experience with Python and FastAPI
Experience with JWT/OAuth2 authentication, dependency injection, and REST API design
Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL including schema design, indexing, and query optimization
Strong DevOps expertise with Docker, GitHub Actions, Linux server administration, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience deploying applications on AWS or Azure cloud platforms
Knowledge of Redis, caching systems, and async task queues such as Celery or ARQ
Strong leadership, mentoring, and code review capabilities
Experience managing engineering teams of 5+ developers

Preferred Skills:

Experience with React Native and mobile application architecture
Knowledge of GraphQL APIs and observability tools like Grafana or Datadog
Exposure to government portal integrations or NIC/GeM API standards
Familiarity with security scanning tools and secure coding practices
Experience with ISO 9001 / 27001 software delivery documentation standards
